- I bought this subwoofer to replace the failed subwoofer that came with my Kef KHT-2005 5.1 speaker system. I love my speakers and did not want to replace them. I saw that this was the unit that now comes with the Kef egg system so, I decided to try it as a replacement. It fits in beautifully with my speaker system with nice, clear bass.
- I love this sub! It came as part of the KEF KHT3005SE-K2 package. The KHT3005SE speakers are usually mated with the HTB2 sub, but I prefer the look of the KUBE-2. Clean simple lines. Nice geometric shape. The HTB2 looks a bit too busy for my taste, and the illuminated KEF logo on top is rather gimmicky. Also, I prefer to hide the bass driver behind a cover -- naked drivers bother me.Notably, the HTB2 lacks both a Crossover Frequency Control and a Level Control. Since my Nakamichi AV-10 receiver has neither control for the subwoofer, the KUBE-2 is definitely the better choice for me.The KUBE-2 produces nice deep bass, which is great for movies.
