Clear, confident, and natural sounding, the C3 bookshelf speaker sports KEF's 5.25-inch bass driver for impressively extended low-frequency response to complement the seductive realism of the sophisticated 0.75-inch tweeter and "tangerine" waveguide for vocal clarity. The resulting sonic performance is warm, rich in detail, and compellingly three-dimensional whether you're enjoying a favorite track or watching a movie. All of the C series' enclosures are ultra-rigid to ensure that the sound you hear is untainted by any internal resonance and all are magnetically shielded to give freedom when positioning.

KEF KHT5005IISATBL Speaker System (Set of 5, Black)

- If you are reading this you likely know how wonderful KEF speakers sound, but if you don't know, they are among the finest personal use speakers around. And that isn't just my random opinion, it is pretty much fact. Because most audio lovers will already know how amazing these are, I will offer the review and advice I just gave my best friend when he was in the market for speakers.Another fact is that you should purchase speakers for your main purpose. Much like if you have kids you should be looking at minivans, not sports cars as your main vehicle. That doesn't mean you can't still have the sporty red two door, but it shouldn't be your main car. Speakers work the same way--you should select…
- After much research I purchased the KEF KHT5005.2 satellite speaker system minus the subwoofer. The system received favorable ratings on all reviews I found on the internet. The original system came out in 2007, but they are still available in KEF retail stores. The complete system, including subwoofer retails for $2200. Since I have a nice Velodyne subwoofer I was looking to purchase just the center channel (HTC5001.2) and surround speakers (HTS5001.1). The price on Amazon for the 5 speakers minus the sub was $999. A fair price for a nice set of solid KEF speakers. I am selling my Bose Jewel Cube speakers which these replace. The KEF speakers outperform the Bose speakers, no comparison. If…

Unify your home theater surround sound with the 3-way iQ60cDA center-channel speaker, delivering clear vocals, crisp dialogue, and dazzling sound effects. While this KEF Q series speaker places the 0.75 inch tweeter in Uni-Q array at the acoustic center of the 5.25 inch mid-range driver for expansive audio dispersion, 2 5.25 inch bass-reflex woofers combine to produce surprisingly controlled and full low-frequency audio. Vocals are clear and precisely located, whatever the volume, and lower frequency effects are equally involving and delivered with real clout.

KEF KHT9000BL Cast Aluminum Speaker System (Black), Sold as Each

- Though not easy to set up, these speakers are worth the effort. We started these out with some music (Hendrix, Chopin, Brubeck), and were immediately struck by the generous and detailed sound stage. At the same, the midrange didn't sound nearly as clean as you'd expect from speakers in this price range. Within the first 30-40 minutes, though, the speakers had opened up to an extent that had to be heard to be believed, resulting in greatly improved overall sound quality. Later we tried HT, and found, for example, that softer tones were rendered with exceptional delicacy, while ample "slam" was delivered when needed. In a smaller room, you can definitely get by without a sub. The only thing I'd add is that the overall sound is a little on the bright side, so you'll probably want to steer clear of brighter-sounding receivers/amps. Also, we were using the satellite floor stands for the L/R and the small center stand, all of which I recommend.

- I am using these speakers for surround sound on the sides of my room. I have only had them for a few weeks, but so far I am very impressed with the quality of the speakers and the sound they produce. These speakers have performed flawlessly so far, and the sound they produce is crystal clear and amazing. I am very happy with my first but not the last purchase of KEF speakers.
- Bought for my daughter's surround system. Matched up perfectly with the fronts: Q700's - AND THE SOUND IS GREAT. They are excellent as rear surrounds and have very good spacial qualities as you might expect from the shape. Basic black but beautiful quality finish. Super heavy magnets might make it hard to mount in a ceiling but worth doing if done right. Easy squeazy as wall mounts due to flush (metal bracketed) cutouts for screw heads in the back. They will sit flat against the wall when completed, but know where you are going to run the wires because wall setup won't lay perfectly flat if the speaker wire is fat and doesn't go INTO the wall behind them. No biggy - just use some cheapo cushion…

KEF KHT6000BL Slender Profile Cast Aluminum Speaker (Gloss Black)
,

3/27/2012
Every once in a while you come across a piece of design that looks so right you just know it's going to perform superbly, like the KHT6000 slender profile cast aluminum speaker (gloss black) from KEF. Designed from the start to complement the latest generation of flat screen TVs, it combines high-end KEF audio technologies in an elegant new package. Center stage is a Uni-Q array with KEF's latest aluminum dome tweeter set into a 75-millimeter (3-inch) mid-range cone, so you know that vocals are going to sound clear, warm and beautifully balanced wherever you sit. With a line-up of no less than 4 75-millimeter (3-inch) long-throw midrange/bass drivers with ultra-low distortion motors, you know that the sound image will be so real you can almost touch it. The separate Uni-Q enclosure utilizes ACE technology to move the enclosure resonance below the working frequency range and absorb higher frequency acoustic modes.

- It figures that a European company would develop a subwoofer like this. Compact and nice/interesting looking - things that fit in nicely with the European mindset... I'm married to one. One speaker that my wife doesn't mind having in plain sight. And it's output is tight, fast and accurate (unlike some other small subs from "reputable" manufacturers... like Sunfire, which output a lot of sound, but that's about all you can say. Give me speed and accuracy first, and super-low-end last). It may not play as loud or low as larger subs, but it does really add to satellite speakers, and has done a nice job for me, where I have it augmenting a 12" sub (Triad Silver InRoom). Some minor issues are the lack of a gain control on it - you'll need to set its level via your AV receiver. It does have a switch that allows you to select either 0dB boost, +3dB or +6dB, which does help.Besides that, there is a 0 or 180 degree phase switch, and a switch that selects either auto- or always-on.…
