- After much research I purchased the KEF KHT5005.2 satellite speaker system minus the subwoofer. The system received favorable ratings on all reviews I found on the internet. The original system came out in 2007, but they are still available in KEF retail stores. The complete system, including subwoofer retails for $2200. Since I have a nice Velodyne subwoofer I was looking to purchase just the center channel (HTC5001.2) and surround speakers (HTS5001.1). The price on Amazon for the 5 speakers minus the sub was $999.
