- I bought this to replace a failing 12 year old Sony receiver. I don't care about surround sound, but required speaker A/B and subwoofer. It was well packed for shipping and was easy to set up. The FM receiver has better sensitivity than the old Sony, and the sound is as good or better. Not alot of settings, which for me is fine. I really don't need sound processing that makes my music sound like I'm in a cave, prefer my playback to be as close to the recording as possible. It has the minimum needed and works well. - I'd like to have a shuttle feature but this is the unit I purchased. Also would like A/C outlet incorporated to be able to plug CD player into the receiver. However, perfectly adequate for my unsophisticated tastes. Have had it for only three weeks.
