Denon AVR-1611 7.1 Channel A/V Home Theater Receiver (Black)
  • This is a great receiver, inexpensive, easy to use and best of all very easy to set up and coodinate with an existing surround sound system. The Audessy system for speaker setup produces a stellar sound with no effort at all. The manual is complicated enough for all the guys who insist on fiddling with every detail for hours on end. I am a 65 year old grandmother so am delighted that I could set it up by myself without spending days doing it! Love it!
  • "Great Value" sounds kind of lame as it tends to imply that you are getting a lesser quality item real cheap. This is a high-quality item at a great price--literally craigslist pricing. No, it doesn't have 48 thousand inputs and outputs, only four, which is all I need for DTV, DVD, Apple TV and one other for whatever in the future. This unit replaced a seven year old Onkyo. The sound quality is fantastic--warm yet powerful as opposed to the Onkyo's harshness. I thought 75 watts might be a little low but It really cranks yet still retains its warmth and clarity. Set up is just like any other modern AV receiver--sit down, take your time and read the directions. Highly recommended and…
