  • This media player is simple and to the point. It immediately recognized my DLNA servers on my computer and on my synology disk station with no problem. Played mkv avi m4v and everything else I could throw at it. The interface is clunky, and not as elegant as AppleTV's, but this is overall a much simpler and versatile device since it uses standard DLNA protocols which apple tv does not. AppleTV requires you to convert your media files to itunes format, and load media into itunes before AppleTV even sees it. Now I've got the new one SMP-N200 and it gives you the same functions and more compact size of the box with nice compact remote.It works fast and streaming all kind of media to my family room TV. With the connection with HDMI gives an excellent picture quality and very nice sound for the home theatre system.
