- Read lots of reviews and pretty much everyone said this was a great buy - good sound and picture beyond its modest price. They were all correct. You will not go wrong selecting this for you basic Home Theater/gaming center. If you are also considering the less expensive Denon 1312, it is also well worth the small additional price to get the 1612 unit that has the improved sound electronics and additional input capacities. REGARDING ANOTHER NEGATIVE REVIEW - This unit works just fine with my Comcast cable devices.
- I bought and lavishly reviewed an Onkyo awhile back here on Amazon. Little did I know that these units had a faulty HDMI board that failed. Its all over the internet. Also on the internet are instructions that work to fix it (some times). I soldered in the updated capacitors and lo and behold......it still didn't work.So, no home theater, the Onkyo on the curb with a "FREE" sign on it. Hopefully it will get recycled. Don't have the same hope for the Onkyo executives.So, what to buy.
