- This was recommended by Consumer Reports, and was a great value for the money. Our place was already hardwired for a 5.1 system and this system fit the bill. Set up was very easy. The menus are intuitive for the most part. The only thing that has not worked out is to play videos from the computer on the TV. The video comes over well enough with some minor distortions at first (unclear if this is because of the HDMI cable or the computer/tuner interface), but NO sound can play through. maybe I don't have the correct cable (digital audio cable may be necessary). Otherwise, it's been great to watch HD movies with the surround sound. Feels like you're in the theater!
- I recently purchased this system and can honestly say that I am pleased with this purchase. Although I opted to use the Super Saver shipping the item arrived in just 4 days. Setup was simple and the sound is fantastic for the price. I previously had a Samsumg DVD/Home Theatre in a box that costs more yet the pales in comparison to this system. My only recommendation is that you purchase separate speaker wire...it should come as no surprise that the speaker wire that came with the system is less than spectacular.
