  • This is the third Denon AVR I've bought in the last four years. They all work quite well, but the 4311ci is really phenomenal. I'm using it to drive a 7.2 setup. The Audyssey MultiEQ XT32 yields some excellent sound in my theater room. In addition to the two separately adjustable sub outputs, this receiver supports two HDMI outputs (not simultaneous). This was ideal for my application where I have a TV as well as a projector with motorized screen.Denon has done a great job here. I considered separates at one point, but I don't think you can beat the 4311ci without spending quite a bit more.
  • Fire the Denon Engineer that was in charge of developing the feature, which is the subject of this rant...It took me about 1.5hrs to get this receiver all set up, with its intricate menus, submenus & even subsubmenus! A SEEMINGLY rewarding feature of this unit is a feature called Quick Select, which SUPPOSEDLY saves a profile, for [up to] 3 different devices/sources. After making the myriad of settings, I immediately appreciated the Quick Select feature for what it was... a LIFESAVER! Upon testing the functionality of the Quick Select, I discovered a GLARING shortcoming of the Quick Select & I figured, as techno-savvy as I am, I MUST be doing something wrong- so I called Denon Technical…
