- I am running HDMI over a single shielded CAT5e cable from my basement to the 2nd floor of the house. I am also running HDMI over a single shielded CAT6 cable from my basement to the 3rd floor of my house. I am connecting my Motorola HD cable box in the basement to 2 led-lcd flat panel TV's on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I tried a different HDMI over single CAT5e solution which didn't work as well as I wanted.
