- This receiver has no way to correct for speaker placement or room acoustics. There is neither balance control nor its audiophile equivalent, line control. If you do not happen to sit perfectly between the speakers in an acoustically perfect room, there is nothing you can do. I note the other glowing reviews, and I can only surmise that they enjoy the attributes noted above. Even without this disqualifying failing, the sound was nothing special, and the old Yamaha with no audiophile pretensions that this was to replace sounds far better, even before adjusting the balance.
