- I bought this dvd home theater for my little corner of the house. We already have an expensive Sony 5 disc home theater for the family room, so I bought this mainly because of the price.I have it hooked up to a 42in LG Plasma tv, and with the HDMI hookup it upconverts the dvds nicely. They don't look blu-ray quality, but still they look better than normal.The sound quality of the system is pretty good for a small room. I wouldn't suggest this system for a big basement or living room, but for what I bought it for it sounds great.
