- Purchased this because I wanted more volume than my flat-screen 46" Samsung could provide. Performance is excellent. The base unit works wirelessly which allowed me to place it behind my headboard and create somewhat of a surround sound. I have it mounted on the wall 2" below the TV. It powers up automatically when the TV is turned on and shuts off when the TV is turned off. My only complaint involve changing the sound level. I would have thought that my Samsung TV remote could be used to control the Samsung Sound Bar but it won't, so I must use the remote that came with the sound bar to change the volume. - Well it took me a while to figure out which way is the best way to install the unit, USE THE SUPPLY HDMI CABLE , do not use the opical wire, Why , if you use the HDMI you can control the volume of the sound bar with your tv remote. play with sound adjustments it will pay off.
